Goodpatch ♥s new stuff: June roundup of our favorite services, apps, and design

Our monthly roundup comes to you from Shibuya for the first time! As we announced last month, we have moved our main office from Akihabara to Shibuya and, in the meantime, went through an complete office redesign.

This month also brought major announcements with the introduction of OS X Yosemite at WWDC 2014 and the Android “L” at Google I/O. Check out what else caught our attention in June!

A online project by Bic, famous for their ballpoint pens, that averages the handwriting of people all over the world to create a universal typeface. The site also allows you to segment by age, gender, country, handedness, and industry for some interesting results!

Material Design

Material Design specification guidelines by Google for their new visual language. The document is still a preview version, but you can already read in-depth about the design principles for Google UX, as well as animation, layout, component, patterns, and usability aspects.

An application for bouldering enthusiasts in Japan. You can find a nearby bouldering gym, record your cleared courses, and even receive special hints for different courses. The name “nobol” comes from the Japanese word “noboru” — meaning to climb.
